KALMBACH makes use of automated, cold-chamber CNC die casting systems with liquid charging, featuring from 2,900 KN to 8,000 KN of clamping power, for castings weighing from 10 g to 8,500 g.
The integrated, combined annealing and metering kilns guarantee constant temperatures for the type 226 to 231 aluminum alloys used here. Shot-by-shot regulation means that highly demanding casting work can be carried out even in short and medium production runs.
KALMBACH puts its faith in the most advanced process technology. Automated casting cells integrating robotics and incorporating a punching unit guarantee highly reproducible quality at maximum quality levels. Optical part monitoring means additional assurance of flawless manufacturing, constant quality, and extraordinary process flexibility.
Casting operations on these systems, with their real-time control, are logged continuously. The most modern manufacturing technology makes for exhaustive process monitoring in every phase, documented as trend data and charts. User-specified casting curves also set the stage for demanding applications, such as extremely thin-walled castings with high dynamic filling pressures.
