Zinc die casting – In top form.
The automatic, hot-chamber, CNC die casting systems ensure reliable production operations at unwavering quality. In some cases equipped with industrial robots, those systems develop from 240 kN to 2,200 kN of clamping force, for cast components weighing from 1 g to 3,500 g.
Optimized casting processes enable extremely thin-walled castings with superior features and properties:
- Maximum dimensional stability
- Savings in material and weight
- Superb surface finishes
Our own melting unit - in conjunction with integrated liquid charging for the automatic casting machines using real-time regulation and equipped with electrically heated, 2-chamber kilns - makes for uniform temperatures in zinc alloys 410 and 430 as per EN 1743.
The results will pass the most rigorous inspections: ideal surfaces at superb dimensional accuracy!
The ON-LINE operating data acquisition system used at Kalmbach covers every phase, from order management through to production data and test logs. Monitoring for casting operations is also exhaustively documented.
